Liebster Award

liebster-awardI don’t usually respond to chain mail, but I’ll make an exception for this: A fellow wordpress blogger, Moke at http://mlwegener.wordpress.com/ nominated Crochet Thread for the Liebster Award.

This “award” originated in 2010 on blogspot. Over time, it’s grown from the original terms and conditions.

The word “Liebster” means: preferred above others. It’s basically a pat on the back from someone who finds your blog worthwhile.

So let me respond by saying, “Thanks, Moke!”

Q&A:
1.What are your top three books?
Violet Cove by (me) Ann Reillet (of course)
Lavendar and Old Lace by Myrtle Reed (Also, At the Sign of the Jack-o-Lantern)
The Alienist by Caleb Carr
Blackwood Farm by Anne Rice
Black Creek Crossing by John Saul
Candide by Voltaire
Timeline by Michael Crichton (Read it 3x)
Name your top 3??? Seriously, I could go on for days.

2.What (if any) specialist magazines do you read?
Good Housekeeping, Better Homes & Gardens, Nat’l Geo.

3.Who would you most like to be stuck in a lift with?
My husband.

4.Who do you write your blog for?
Fellow hobbyists.

5. Why do you write a blog?
To teach, help others, stay connected and did I mention, have fun?

6.If money were no object what would you do?
End world hunger then I’d start a clothing line and open a boutique dedicated to vintage fashion.

7.What is your favourite and least favourite colour?
Love black, not fond of orange.

8.How many blogs do you follow?
I’ve never really counted them, but at least a dozen.

9.Do you track any tags?
No.

10. Name your favourite blog and why you like it so much.
damitmanwhatsupwiththat@blogspot.com for the xfile topics

11. If you could write for any magazine or newspaper which would it be and why. I’d field life lesson questions like Dear Abbey/Ask Amy. Actually, I do that on Yahoo Answers.

Originally, recipients had to nominate three people, so I nominate:
1. damitmanwhatsupwiththat@blogspot.com
2. thetwistedyarn.com (to go with her MADS award)
3. artmagamma (cuz’ I like her style)
