This is a 3-section lace top designed by Gwen Terwilliger titled “Cascading Ripple Top.” It’s a comfortable customized fit that’s perfect for summer wear over a sun dress, tank top or beach attire. The pattern is available for sale and download at: http://www.flexiblefashions.net
I worked this in Astra 5/2 perle cotton (color #147 “quarry”) by UKI Supreme Yarns with a US-1 (2.35mm) steel hook. One cone is enough to make two (2) medium sweaters and still have some left over for a scarf or sash. I added longer drape on the sleeves and a detachable collar.
What I liked most about this pattern was the ease of creating it with minimal shaping. The vest is crocheted first then sewn together before working the drape in the round. As the designer states in the pattern, it could easily be worked into a dress.
