This is not a “Clones Knot” per se, though it looks similar. It’s actually a popcorn st worked en l’air or ‘in the air‘. By working a standard popcorn in a chain, rather than a stitch, it creates a popcorn knot that is pliable and that movement is what makes it appear similar to a Clones Knot.
